Global decommissioning & demolition forum 8-9 March 2023
Description
The process of breaking down a plant can be divided into two main parts: decommissioning and demolition. Decommissioning concerns the planning and preparation phases and demolition concerns the actual taking down of the plant and the environmental remediation. The process as a whole is very costly and time consuming. Operators often hire a contractor for the demolition of a plant. What to take into consideration when selecting a contractor? What should be included in the tender document? As decommissioning is not business as usual for certain industries, it is difficult for them to know what to pay attention to when selecting a contractor.
During this event we’ll cover
A lot of utility companies are, or soon will be, demolishing and dismantling power plants. Most utilities have little or no experience in this field. This conference will show them the ins and outs of the process
A very specific focus, targeting industries that are facing significant number of asset closures. The selected few industries we have chosen face very similar challenges and can benefit from this ‘limited’ cross-sectional exchange of best practices.
This Forum creates a platform for operators and contractor companies to come together and share their experiences, challenges and solutions to decommissioning/demolition issue
